I have a 72 maverick model and a comet model! The comet is the "Rapid Randy pro stocker" made by JO-HAN and the Maverick is a `72 grabber race car.I think the same company made both cars,I do not have the box that the maverick came in but the cars seem to be the same model with a different body.The cars are not tubbed but they both have big ugly `70s style hood-scoops. I bought the comet at a car show ,and a buddy who owns a pro -street comet(didnt want a mav model)gave me the Mav. I`m telling you guys this to make it known that SOMEBODY used to make this Maverick Model ,so maybe one of you guys with more knowledge on model kits can track some down or find something more out about it .
