Go with the mav, they are WAY easyer to work on than the 88 Lebaron would be simply because the mav is so much more, simple. I owned a 86 lebaron GTS and after fixing around 1000 dollars worth of shit on it, the head gasket blew and so did I. (damn thing is still sitting behind my garage. Anyone want to buy it?) Then me and my father overhauled the mav and I've been driving it ever since. Anything that does break is easy to fix because there is no new stuff I dont understand. Mine is very reliable, I wouldn't be afraid to drive it to the far shore right now.
