: I don't know what year car this is, but the stock 944 Turbo produces 247 horsepower and 258 ft. pounds of torque. If somebody spent alot of money on that car, upgradeing pistons, rods, lifters, maybe even the turbo it self, as well as headers, intake, ect.... It might be posible. Is the 520 Hp Rear wheel or just the engine? 520 sounds a bit exagerated, but 450 or so does sound possible at the rear wheel. If you wanna know for sure, find out what all was done to the car. If alot of engine upgrades were done, and alot of money was spent on high end parts, it's definatly posible.

: : Hey!
All that "horsepower" is made at a very high rpm and installed in a very light-weight car...A 302 is capable of far more TORQUE which is what makes the car "go" in the first place...Which would you rather have; 247 hp w/258 ft.-lbs of torque at 6500RPM or 150 HP with 258 ft.-lbs. torque @ 4200 RPM ???...The V-8 acomplishes the SAME thing at a lower RPM...

: : Just a quick question i thought i'd post here. A friend has been telling me all about his Porsche (i believe '86 or so) 944 Turbo, and bragging about 520 dyno'ed horsepower!! Now, i admit i don't know a whole lot about porsches, but 520 sounds just insane for a four-banger. He's done about all he can to it, high-flow turbo, headers, intake, the works...but i just seriously doubt his hp! Any thoughts on this, can a four-banger REALLY get that much hp without throwing a rod or losing a wall???
