: I'm putting a 351 windsor in a 73. The car is an original 250 inline with power steering and column shift c-4. No a/c. I'm putting in a 72 block with a Edelbrock performer intake, Holley 4 barrel, duraspark ignition, and K-N air filter. Does any one know where to get rear frame rails for the car I don't know of anyplace that sells them. I have long tube headers that I'm going to try even though I will probaly have to buy special ones from Auto Krafters. I'm going to use 302 motor mounts. I'm also going to try and use the original 8-inch rear end. Any comments on that? Any suggestions hints helpful and appreciated. thanx.
The 8" will work just fine, put a posi or Detroit locker in it, and yes they are avail. for 8" rearends. Go to Moser or Currie Ent. and get new forged steel axles. Because we all know you ain't going to baby it. Art Morrison in Wa. may have your frame rails. If not 2"sg tubular steel and some 1/8" metal plates and you can make your own much cheaper. Anymore if it ain't a Stang no one makes it. So they say.
