: : I've been having a problem with my steering recently. Sometimes when I turn a corner...after the turn the car will straighten, but the wheel will be about 45 degrees counterclockwise from where it is usually centered...then after a little while going straight (sometimes after a little bump or just out of the blue) the wheel shifts back all at once to it's centered position...and the car kind of veers to the left a little as it's recentering...this problem i'm having is kind of hard to explain, but i hope maybe somebody knows what i'm talking about and can help...
: : Check your Control Valve for sticking, your Rag Joint may be trashed, or the steering rod in the column may also need to be checked. Also don't rule out the steering box being a problem.

: : it's a 73 302 with power steering...i replaced the left lower control arm and both lower control arm bushings and realigned about 3 months ago or so....

: : thanks
