Chris,
You may want to check your control valve and power steering lines leading to it. Check control valve to see if it has a grease fitting on the bottom of it. If it does, grease it with a good quality automotive grease. There is a busing above that grease fitting where the pitman arm goes in that could be sticking. Another thing you could check for is play in the steering box. Let me know if this helped.

: I've been having a problem with my steering recently. Sometimes when I turn a corner...after the turn the car will straighten, but the wheel will be about 45 degrees counterclockwise from where it is usually centered...then after a little while going straight (sometimes after a little bump or just out of the blue) the wheel shifts back all at once to it's centered position...and the car kind of veers to the left a little as it's recentering...this problem i'm having is kind of hard to explain, but i hope maybe somebody knows what i'm talking about and can help...

: it's a 73 302 with power steering...i replaced the left lower control arm and both lower control arm bushings and realigned about 3 months ago or so....

: thanks
: Chris
