: : : I'm going to build 351W and want to swap-out w/302W. Any help/information on problems/hassles greatly appreciated. Where to get: mounts, headers, radiators. Have auto trans w/351. Will build it up also. Going for 400 to 425hp. Will install in '72 Grabber. Also have disc brake set-up off '76 Stallion to install. Any help there will be great also. Engine & trans out of early to mid '70s full size car. Parts and building 351 no problem, just need help with swap. I'm located in south-east Texas, near Houston. ttyl. GPJack.

: : Thinking about doing it myself. Looking for an AOD, and wanted to know whatcha got it all out of.
: :If you use the AOD try and get one from a truck or van, more clutches, A servo for more shifting torque. Also the big problem with AODs is the TV cable. NOT THE SAME AS DOWNSHIFT CABLE. It is REQUIRED for AODs. Look for 85 and earlier AODs because they used a carb. and get the carb, trans and rod linkage from it. The only other source I know of at this time is Total Performance for $130.
: The AODE requires a computer module so don't even try this one because it requires all the computer, eng/trans monitors. Very techincal, but possible if you use EFI.

not an AOD. got the package out of 75-78 LTD? 'lest thats what friends brother-in-law said. free, so don't care. going to use after-market heads. almost got a 'new'rebuilt 302 out of wrecked 92 T Bird. day late, dollar short. ahh, what could have been!
