With the disc, doesn't a greater "proportion" go to the the front?
: It is NOT the same.
: : TL, are you saying that the p-valve for the manual 4 wheel drum and the manual front disc/rear drum setup is the same? If so, I would assume that the master cylinder is the same also.
: : : ...to change the proportioning-valve with the front disc/rear drum setup UNLESS you go with power assist. If you experience a problem with rear-wheel lock-up, install an adjustable prop.valve...

: : : : : Is there complete interchangability with disc brake systems within the 70-77 mavs/comets? In other words, will a newer (75-77) disc brake set-up work on 74 or earlier? I realize that if swithching to power you must use the brake pedal as well.
: : : : :Yes, it has been made to look allot harder then it is by magazines and parts suppliers. It is a straight forward change out. Most people forget the proportioning valve and that is where they end up having problems.
