: he has aluminum cleveland heads, cut two cylinders off and grafted them to his other head, viola!! performance inline 6. Can't remember if it was a 200 or 250. Performance is possible for those, but it aint cheap, and a head swap is almost mandatory.
: : ...try finding a source for the Australian cross-flow head. Supposedly worth 50 hp by itself with no other mods. Forget Chevy valves & 2bbl adapters - this baby uses the 351 Cleveland valvetrain and a separate intake manifold (can you say 4bbl? Weber side-drafts? Multipoint fuel injection?) I heard of an Aussie yard about a year ago willing to ship a bare head for about $500. Pricey but is was alloy;-)
: : : Anyone else catch the article in "Mustang and Fords" magazine about performance stuff for a 6 cylinder engine. It seems like lots of people ask on this board about building their 200's or 250's up and nobody ever has an answer. Well Clifford Performance out of California has all kinds of cool stuff. They talked about an adapter to add a 2bbl carb. instead of the lil 1 bbl. They also make headers for the motor. One of the coolest things was about adding chev. valves to the heads for added horse power. I am goin to send away for a catalog to see what they charge for this stuff....but I am excited about it. I have a 302 in my Mav., but my Stang only has a 200... Another key point is that they say the 200 is capable of 7000 rpm...try that w/ur 302....I won't!!!! Anyway....check it out.......
