i race those cars for a weekend hobby and although they are slightly different, the components are very close. the main difference between the mustang and the pinto is that the mustang's suspension is mounted differently to the unibody differently. the steering racks on 70-73 pintos mount differently but 74and up pintos use the exact same mounts. the shape of the opening in the upper a-arms from early pintos to late pinto/mustang is different and the 74-78 mustang spindles are taller too....
so you are saying that the frame rails from a mustang toa mav are identical or did you have to widen the mustang crossmember????
thanks
