Autokrafters sells that same kit. They claim it's for a Mustang but it will work on the Mav. There are large holes that the vents do attach to. You can get to them by taking the lower part of your dash off. The Mav I'm building right now has the same problem you've got. Only the guy I got it from filled up the holes, the entire hole mind you, with fiberglass resin. So for me the simplest thing to do was to take the cowl off of a donor car and weld it in in place of the bad one. If your's is rotted around the holes, which it probably is, it might be better for you to just find a donor as well, but you won't know until you take your dash apart and actually see how bad it really is. You may be able to get away with just doing some patch-work welding around the holes and using the kit that is sold. But you definately want to get it fixed if there is rot, because you'll have some pretty weak floorboards and shoddy carpet down the road if you don't. Hopefully you'll be able to just use the kit, which again, Autokrafters claims works on the Mav. Good luck.
: I discovered that my cowl vents are ust about non existance, I managed to pull what was left of them out threw the heater ducts. I just got a catolog from CJ's Pony Parts, and saw a cowl vent replacement kit (included 2 cowl vents and a tube of sealant.) Does anybody know if these will fit into the mav? It didn't give any size info, but for 20 bucks, it definatly sounds like a good way to go....Is it likly that I'll find large holes around the cowl vents on the deck that they are supose to be attached too? I havn't pulled out the dash yet to see what I'm working with.
