Bryan i will go out on a limb here. First thing I would do is start tracing wires that go in and out of it. Wiring can cause many problems with age and just recently I was working on a 1991 Blazer and the Check Engine light would come on at odd times and would make the vehicle pooch out big time. I ran the codes and TCS (temperature control sensor) was the culprit, so i thought. I replaced it and it still did it. So i started tracing wires and discovered the yellow wire coming out of the TCS had rubbed on the rear engine pull hook and was grounding. Sounds like maybe something like that is happening to you.
: I own a '76 Ford Maverick. Something keeps shorting out my electonic
: module. Does anyone out there no where I should start??
