What kind of motor? 6 cyl or V8? What kind of troubles are you having? Have you replaced the battery, or at least tried to start it? You probably should check the carburator for dirt, spider webs, and things like that. Check for oil!!! and water!!! Change the spark plugs after getting the motor to spin. Check the points in the distributor.

Look on EBay for a Maverick/Comet Chiltons Manual. They aren't in production anymore.

All else fails...give it a good washing first. Will build your assurance that you can do it. Good luck. We're here if you need us.

PS: Check out the web site links from this page, or go to mine. Hit the web ring at the bottom. There are a few of us listed there.

: We need some help on this... the two of us have set out on a mission. We are going to restore my moms '73 Grabber. It hasnt been started in years upon years, and its in AWEFUL condition. I am only 16, and Paul is 17, so we arent in to spending TONS of money on the car right now, but we'd just like to get it nice looking and in running order. We know that there are some parts that we need to fix the engin, but haven't figured out what they are yet. If you have any ideas, pictures, tips, ANYTHING we'd really appricitate it... thank you for your time. And could you please e-mail me because I don't check message boards often. Thanks.
