Was visiting a freind yesturday down in Oly (where I get some of my Mav parts) and we went down to her dad's place... in the garage he has a BEAUTIFUL 302 that has been 90% rebuilt (painted, chrome EVERYWHERE, even maverick emblems on the sides of the block... DROOOOOLLLLLLL......)
Well, after I put myeyes back into my head (and rolled my toung back into my mouth) I half jokingly said that he could drop her into MY Mav any time.... We started talking about engine sizes (Alice has a 250 I-6) and I asked him whether I'd need a new tranny to go with it...yadda yadda yadda... All this stuff that I've learned from YOU GUYS here made it possible to "hold my own"... He used to own a 73 Grabber, cherried out in the days of yor....
On the way home Lisa told me that if he didn't want to marry me ( a FEMALE who knows a few things about engines can't be all bad LOL!) He MIGHT just be serious about just "bolting her in" for nothing or at least letting me take that lovely chunk of metal off of is hands... (Not holding my breath BUT he has had it for 8 years just BEGGING to be used again!)...

So the 24 thousand dollar question is IF this turns out to be the real deal and not just a load of canned compression from Schucks WHAT should I be keeping an eye out for? (As he works in the wrecking yard I have VAST rescourses to pick from)...

If anything I'll scan a picture and send it along...
All that chrome just BEGGEING.....
