It should bolt up, but there are differences in the 6 and 8 cyl. trannys....the bands and stuff are all different. So....you could take the good tranny to the shop and have them make it a v8 tranny (someone said about $75 for this??) or you could just have them repair the old one, probably not that bad if you pull it yourself.
