haha..yeah...kinda a daily driver....im in the process of gettin money for restore it...but with this trans...i know i can get parts to make it a V8 tranny....all i really want to know is will it work the way it is as i took it off of the I6? the outside is exactly the same as the v-8 one..you guys said that the internal difference is the only thing to put into consideration....ack..i think im just going to put it in and see what happens :)
Happy Easter everyone :)

: theres one way to find out eh?
: personally (I'm assuming this is a daily driver) I would put the "spare" tranny in and get the old one souped up for the day that the spare dies, it wont take long for the I6 to die either (or so Ive heard)
: since when do Mavericks have transfer cases??

: : Yes....
: : IF you make some modifications. You need a v8 bellhousing, transfer case, and you need to have a transmission shop swap over the bands and other miscellaneous junk that is different between a 6 and an 8 cylinder tranny. I think this costs about $75, someone else said something like that.
: : To tell ya the truth, you could find a decent, used c4 at a junkyard or in the paper for as much as it would cost to swap this one over (most of them locally go for about $75), and this way you could have a parts tranny.
