Mine is also a Carter YF1 ('76, 250 CID six). I have another car with
the one barrel Holley, and my experience is that the Holley is a piece
of CRAP compared to the Carter. The automatic choke never worked right
since the car was new. When I inherited the car, the first project was
to replace the Holley's automatic choke with a manual choke, and drop
the automatic choke in the trash. I wish I could do the same for the
carb....
