You know, someone had done the very same thing to the otherwise perfect Grabber hood that I bought. I almost hesitate to mention this, but I got the inner part of a grille from a new Dodge Ram pickup and cut it to fit in the holes. The honeycomb grille material is reminiscent of the original honeycomb pattern that was inside the "dummy" scoops. I was able to glue it in with some good heat resistant automotive glue, and it looks just great. Since I have fuel injection in the car, I don't utilize the scoops for the purpose of bringing in more air to the engine, but I have experimented with using some of that formable ductwork to make a dandy ram-air setup that would work really well if I actually had a use for it. I would be happy to send a picture of the scoops to anyone who is interested.
Just some thoughts...

: Someone punched out the holes in my grabber hood. I'm thinking i might put some wire mesh (if i can find any that looks good) to put behind the holes. Otherwise, the scoops just go straight into the upper shock mounts, you could possibly make them functional with some creativity and some of that flexible metal hose used for a/c and heaters in houses. It would be really cool if you could get your hands on a twin turbo (someday, maybe) and make the scoops functional.

: : Is the Grabber hood functional or just deco?

: : : I had a picture of one from an old magazine .. I thought it looked really good. I was actually going to put one on my Mav until I found a Grabber hood for a 12 pack of Bud !! Second best thing you can do with a 12 pack ! but yes, it does look really good
