was a 2.3 Lx, the guys tranny was squeeling. Bad. Reeaaally loud. It hurt my ears loud. LOUD. anyway, he didn't have a throwout bearing, what was left of it was between the yoke's forks and the clutch. You had to start the car in the gear you wanted to drive in and go. Couldn't even force it to grind into gear, it wouldn't budge. The guy drove the car like this for a few weeks before he brought it in. I'm amazed he made it. He lived about an hour from the shop. Scary loud, shrill, sqealing, steel grinding, painful, LOUD sound...

(also been lowered, the tranny crossmember was BENT, along with everything else underneath, exhaust had a 2inch long oval hole worn into it from being bottomed out...)
: We had to change the clutch cable on my bro's '90 5.0 LX last week, and its a pain in the ass reaching up and attaching it to the adjustable quadrant on top of the clutch pedal. Not to mention that he took the whole pedal assembly apart, because he didn't know it had a self adjuster, so i ended up putting it back together using 1 hand, i couldn't fit 2 hands up there to hold it!

: : Sounds like you got a nice car, just keep in mind, the T5 doesn't

hold up as well as it should. Also, most of the guys I use as reference are driving these cars hard on the 1/4 and as a daily driver too. I don't think you'll have a problem with yours, but I've driven a few myself with tranny problems. I love the feel of the T5, but it won't hold together with hard running.

: : not just BSing here, former mechanic, I hate tranny work on stangs too. its too damn tight in there.
