My Comet, 302, power steering, C4, AC, cheapo stereo is supposed to be 2552lbs. I weigh 152. Say, 8lbs per gallon, 1/4 tank of gas 32lbs, so aprox.

I have stereo equipment in here, weight unknown, guess at 50-60 lbs. Spare should be included in shipping weight, so I didn't figure that in. I have a trunk full of parts and tools and my computer business stuff, so I guesstimate at 2850, might be more. If I stripped the car down, I could probably hit the 2600 mark. That would be sweet. someone that can actually weigh their comet or mav, lemme know how close this is. I haven't had the opportunity to check myself. rather go over than under, just to be safe...
