I too am a professional truck driver, and foremost a racer/hotrodder/carnut and have used the truck stop scales to weigh my cars. A platform scale will not only give you the total weight but the weight on each axle as well, and with a little math you have your front/rear distribution. This figure is valuable in many ways, especially if you use one of those computer performance simulators (I have several)
another thing is that these scales are calibrated monthly (and sometimes more often, the one near use is calibrated weekly!!!) so you are going to have a very acurate weight, DO NOT forget to get the weight with YOU in the car!!!! This makes a big difference in weight and distribution!!!
