Yes but my car isn`t stock it runs 11.60 qtr. @ 117mph (no nitrous)with a 302 which brings us to the point I was trying to make, If this kind of performance is possible with a 302 why go to the trouble of installing a CHEVY or MOPAR engine in it? : Sorry MAV, but if he does put in a pre-72 318 in his Maverick, even a bone stock one, odds are he'd still smoke even a mildly built 302, much less a stock one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the 302 rated at a mere 143 HP?
