This doesnt actually involve my maverick but could be applicable to someones mav or comet. I drive a 66 chevy pickup as a daily driver (454 with turbo 400 trans and 4:11 rear end) and with me living in midwest i have to deal with rust. Once a year i detail the old truck up and really give it a going over. I have some cheap chromed spinner caps on the wheels and they would rust badly over the winter. So last year i cleaned them up real good and then I thought i would spray some clear urethane over them to see if it would seal out rust for one year. Well its April and i did my yearly detail and I can say that no new rust formed on the spinners! Maybe you guys can use this on one of your rides :)
