I tend to tear the living shit out of my cars, dont ask my why I just do. In my short lived life span I have owned/driven daily the following: 81 Plymouth champ, 82 Olds station wagon, 70 Maverick, 71 maverick Grabber, 89 Mazda PU, 85 Nissan PU, 71 maverick grabber (drove it home stripped it for parts) 74 IH Scout, 69 1/2 Maverick and most recently a 76 Ford T-bird.
now just because there aint any chevys in there dont mean that I hate em.....hell I got nuthin against chevys at all, I just think that they are boring.Everybody and their brother has some sort of chevy around here and it has to be a real show stopper to get any attention at all, take a plain jane maverick and put a pretty face on it and people will look twice, same goes for the Mopar muscle cars.
so basically my heart lies with the FoMoCo for one reason.... dependability.. throw in avalability of parts and ya got me sold....but Ford is not the easiest to work on vehicle I have found that honor has to go to my IH Scout. those things are TANKS! and the V8's in em are set up like diesil motors ( flat oil pan mounting surface, long connecting rods, timing gears) and run the miles that you would expect from a diesil too
