: The Maverick will always be special to me because it was my first car, but If I had my way, I'd also own a Mopar, Oldsmobile, and a Chevy-powered Pontiac. I refuse to limit myself based on some foolish pride...

The Mav was my first car also. White 4dr '74 I6. I got it in '82 with just over 30K miles on it. It had the original tires. Mint condition.
I had the only one in town. A few kids drove old eco cars. There was one sharp looking Gremlin. Every other Kid had some junky camero. The primary colors were different shades of Bondo and primer. Afew were fast but most were a project that was sold from the last Highschool class to the next.
The Cops reffered to them as Maggot mobiles. The sentiment was a camero driver either had a record, was currently engaged in illegal behavior, or soon would be. Under 18 passengers were called mini-maggots.

As far as the stickers, I don't care for any of them. I'm not a prude, but I am a parent. There are some things that I just don't think should be displayed when the option of not looking just isn't real.
I can screen what I read, watch, and listen to based on my tastes. I can't choose what vehicle drives around me with offensive material.
Don't get me wrong, I belive in the freedom of speech, as long as I have the feedom of not listening.( changing station for example)
I like to listen to Ted Nugent at full volume, but I'm not going to play Wang Dang....... when my 5 year old is in the car.

A complete geek could and would call the cops and give a license # of the vehicle sporting the sticker. It violates copyright laws (Calvin and Hobbes), and most local obscenity statutes.

When driving alone the current Maverick, most other cars are not in front of me long enough to pay much attention to, so it doesen't matter what may be displayed!

If money were no object, I would have a Tucker. If you ever get to DC there is a perfect specimen on display in the Museum of American history. So, in a way, I guess I do own one.
