the pros and cons of a trans kit
are:the transmmission will last a little bit longer
only problem is that it was designed for
racing and heavy duty use like hauling a trailer
it wont feel very smooth when it shifts
I could give you some tips on rebuilding the tranny
the c4 is a very simple tranny to work on
after you take the tranny out of the maverick
first plug all of the holes like the filler tube
and extension housing
and get some degreaser and rinse the tranny with
water and you should then
take it apart and lay the components
out on a clean surface
replace all the friction plates and
gaskets
clean all internal parts with brake cleaner
use vaseline to hold small parts like thrust washers
and checkballs
