Thanks for the insight, I didn't know they were ever produced that way...now I have yet another source for a "donor" third member!
: : It's an 8" if there are NO BOLTS on the back side (they're on the same side as the driveshaft goes in on an 8"). I don't think there was ever an 8" offered with 4 lugs from the factory...anyone got some insight on this?

: : : I have a 71 grabber it has an 8" 4lug rear , I tryied to swap in some 5lug axles WONT WORK! the housing tapers at the end and uses a smaller bearing. It DOES have an 8" though
