: Just wondering, were there any differences in the structure of the v8 mavs versus the i6's? Or did they change any thing over the years? I have a 69.5 that i would like to put a 302 into.

The 69.5s were built before there was an option for the V8 in 71, so I am not sure if it is as straight forward as it is in the leter models or not. When you ask around, be sure that they have knowledge specifically of your year. Keep in mind that in order to do this swap, you will need: V8 front springs, v8 carberator linkage, maybe a new rear end (if yours only has 4 lugs), and a c4 tranny that is built for a v8 (some of the c4s for i6s won't handle a v8), and a new radiator. It is a potentially expensive transfer, and you may at least consider the possibility of buying another with a v8 in it. I'm not saying don't do it, obviously, because I am, but be aware what you are getting yourself into.
