I was driving down the road today and drove past an old Comet for sale. Because this subject came up so recently, I pulled over to take a closer look. This car is AWESOME!! It is a 65 Comet Calliente with perfect black leather(?) interior, Immaculate navy blue paint job, newly rebuilt 289 4bbl. with flowmaster dual exaust. This thing looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, if not better! If any of you are seriously interested in buying an old Comet, it does not get better than this. It said $4,500 O.B.O., and I thought seriously for a moment about abandoning restoration on The Comick to pick this up. As far as I'm concerned, that price is cheap; this thing belongs at a car show.
