Sounds like you dont have something wired correctly. With the ignition on and the engine being cranked by the starter you should see a big fat arc when the points open. Also you should even hear the arc, sounds like a snap. Double check your condensor, if that isnt it check all wires going to distributor, not the plug wires but all other wires that are 12 volt related.
: well i have a new problem the engine will turn over but it wont fire. im not good with electrical stuff so i dont even know where to start.
: here is what i have done/checked
: it has a new battery, voltage regulator, semi new starter (6 months old)
: checked the coil, new plugs, new solenoid, new distributor and problably more that i cant think of now.
