The later model Mavericks had one-peice retractable seat belts, but you can't just swap them in your older model car. There have to be holes cut in the insides of the rocker panels to accomodate the spools that hold the webbing, and the metal itself should be reinforced. You'd also have to weld nuts in so that you'd be able to bolt the whole assembly to the car. This isn't something you want to dick around with either, as it is a safety concern. Either take the car to a qualified body shop and have the modifications done properly, or stick with your 2-piece belts even though they're a pain.

: what is the story on salvaged seat belts: can you get them from other cars (such as a Mustang), only certain cars, or what? I am looking for a one piece lap and shoulder set-up.
