Make sure your getting spark at the coil! Hold the wire off the coil and crank the engine and see if you get a small spark to the coil tip.
: I am in the service and I have my 72 Maverick sit for two months while I was at sea. I returned and tried to start my car and it wouldn't catch. I sprayed some engine starting fluid in the "carb" and it would start but then die........i was told it could be the fuel pump, any ideas? Is there a site to see the engine? diagrams? I know virtually nothing about cars......... Thanks!
