Get a mechanical oil pressure gauge (about $30), and some 1/8 or 1/4" copper tubing, and get a T fitting, (or just trash the dummy light sending unit, don't trust it, on old cars many things can go wrong). Make sure you have at least 10psi for every 1000 rpms you rev the motor.
