: : : When I tried to tune up my 71 Mav with the I6/200 (No AC No Power anything) last year I noticed that the points & condensor that I got for it would prevent it from getting any spark at all. I checked everything I could find to check in the book and it was all within spec. The parts store confirmed that I was sold the correct ones. When I put the old ones back in it worked again. Can anyone think of what could be causing this???? Or something I could look at / check out?
: : : Thanks

: : Sounds to me like you got a bad condenser,a condenser is either good or bad ,there's no weak one,or one that's "going" bad, when one goes out it's just "out",You don't need to replace a condenser when you put new points in,just a waste of money
: All parts tested ok. Old & new. I'm still confused about this. Mostly just curious tho.
