It's really hard to diagnose a problem like this without actually seeing the car you're working on, but I can tell you that you WILL need an aftermarket bracket to relocate your power steering control valve assembly about 2 inches lower, in order to clear the header pipes. This bracket replaces your stock one that mounts to the left front subframe rail. I have not personally had trouble routing the hoses, but like I said, I can't see into your car. Is it possible that you don't have hoses of the correct length to make all the proper bends? Was the engine you're getting originally out of another Maverick or Comet? That might be the difference. When I get home tonight, I'll look up the part number of that bracket you'll need and post it here later. Hope this helps a little...
: Hi everyone.I am new to this board,so I`m sure this has been covered but here goes my question. My comet is a 75 and was a 6 cylender.A 302 is going in its place soon but we are haveing difficulty routing the hoses past the headers.I sure would hate to give up the power steering.I know there has to be something we can do that we`re just not seeing.Anyone?Help!
