I hardly ever get involved with things involving personal taste, but I have to say that the blue and black color scheme would probably not look the best. What's worse is that it's almost impossible to paint those parts effectively. I've tryed paints specially formulated for vinyl with less than exceptable results. I've found regular flat automotive paint to be the best, but on kickpanels that get kicked, and dashes that get scratched, I'm not sure you'd be happy with the outcome. Personally I'd trade the black parts for blue, if possible.
: In the brochure for the 73 Mavericks, the interior of the 73 orange Grabber had a black dashpad. My blue interior in my 74 Maverick has a craked dash, badly chipping rear arm rest pannels and faded kick pannels. I was thinking of replacing those pannels with black ones that I have but before I do it, do you think it would look ridiculous?
