For the seatbelts and covers, I think it would be easiest and best to scout around for a set that are already black. You'll never change the color of them and have it look good. There should be plenty of black belts out there, as many Mavs came with them even though the interior color was something else. Don't forget to look in other car lines as well, because many Ford products of that era shared things like belts (try early 70's Mustangs. I used shoulder belts from one). When I was looking for a tan passenger side belt, I used one from a '95 Bronco! It was the same length and had the same buckle!

As for the seat backs, you could try having them covered with fabric or upholstery of you choice. I had a shop cover my cracked plastic dash pad with the same fabric as they did my seats with and it really looks good.

: I'm in the process of changing the interior of my mav. from green to black. Looking for ideas or products for changing the color of plastic seat backs (buckets) and the housings around the front seat belts, and the belts them selves. Thanks
