Umm....Thats kinda funny as i bought a 302 or 5.0L whatever you wanna call it :) out of an 88 Ford Crown Vic, and it had Roller Lifters and Cam, the difference is in the firing order, The HO motors use a 351w firing order and the non HO roller motors use the standard firing order. If you want a GOOD cam you need to swap distributors to accomodate the 351W firing order. In most cases you would not want the
newer Ford distributor unless you were sticking with the firing order, so you can save money by not buying an HO motor. I could not find one for less than $750 (low miles) but I bought a motor and an AOD for $500.00 out of the Vic. it depends on what you are building I knwe going into i was changing heads etc..........
