: The easiest way to do it is get the motor mounts and tranny crossmember from a donor 302 Maverick, which I just happend to have. You don't need anything special. Everything should just bolt in.

:
: : I have recently installed a 250 into my 200 Maverick. But the problem is , the 250 is very tired ( goes through 1 qrt. of oil per 30 miles), so now I figure it is time to just bump it up to a 302. I have all suspension, and steering components. I was told that the 70 was the hardest to install a V8 in because the undercarriage was different front the 71-77, is this true? Now , what kind of V8 mounting brackets do I use? Will 67-73 Mustang brackets fit? I have measured the transmission position and the length of the V8 and the results say I have to move the trans. up about an inch, is this what I have to do or is there a special motor mount bracket like I asked before? And if the trans. needs to be moved forward , how would I mount the tail shaft? Also , will the exhuast manifolds be in the way of the coloumb shifter (I have the 250 style shifter).

David...why don't you keep those mounts. Lets have some made!!! They seem to be getting scarce....
