have you ever dealt with the two engines? my cousin's 289 has consistantly outran my car. on paper, my 302 has more cubes, more torque, and more horsepower, but sit side by side, both C4's, his car weighs MORE, same shift points, he beats me by a half a car. Stock, his 289 would pull past 5500. My 302 runs out of power at 4500 with a 4bbl carb that he doesn't have.
