there's quite a bit involved in it tho, I know somebody that picked up a almost brand new motor cycle. His neighbor died, and somehow he got the bike out of it. After a lot of research he found the title using the frame number from the motor cycle. It was registered to an insurance company that had no record of owning it, so they let him keep it. I'm sure it's a bit diferent sitting on the side of the road, but if you went threw the miles of red tape, you could get yourself a free car out of the deal. It sounds like something to look into. That bike had never been driven, it had like 6 miles on it, still had the little rubber things on the tires because they were new, and the collector on the exahaust wasn't discolored like they get on bikes the first time the engine gets really hot.
