: : : I've only had this '71 Mav for about 2 weeks now, I've driven it many times before I bought it tho. I know I shouldn't do this, but when I open the throtle all the way for a second or 2 I get a strange sound, it's like a cross between the sound of leaves in a heater fan and the sound of metal on metal. I think it's stopped now. I still need to do alot of stuff before driving it, like plugs, oil change, ect... The lady I bought it from basically didn't take care of it at all during the year she owned it. As soon as I get some cash I'm going to change all the fluids and alot of other stuff that should have been done about a year ago. Anybody got any idea what that sound might be?
