The good news is the tranny dipstick is usually way easier to take out than the oil dipstick. But, (there's always a but) it depends on where it broke at. There is a small ridge near where the dipstick goes into the tranny. I have had good luck getting a flat head screwdriver in here to pry it out. Most of the time, I just wobble the dipstick tube back and forth and it comes out. If worse comes to worse....you can access from the trans pan (unfortunately you gotta drain it) and you can pound it out with a wooden dowel (close to size of broom handle. Good luck....should be a piece of cake.....
