our discussion about not being able to hit 7k with stock heads, check this guys page, he has had several different hotrods, and wound up going back to stock 289 heads, stock valves, and I don't think they're even ported, in a very respectable running Pinto. It all depends on the combo, but I will agree 100% the crank will not handle this kind of power/rpm and still be daily driven without problems of some kind, if nothing else, 100k miles will HAVE TO rebuild, no maybe about it...
