...down the outside of the engine:) Oven cleaner is a corrosive. It does a wonderful job of dissolving aluminum & other soft metals, such as pistons and bearings!
: I found an old can of oven cleaner and sprayed down the valve cover, and it looks great now, the only problem is that instead of being blue it is now a shiny chrome color. It needed to be painted, but it looks so good, I think I may just leave it as it! I never thought oven cleaner was so strong. I figured it would work on the oil that's burnt to the cover since it's for removing burned on grease in the oven.
