ONLY the later MAVERICK/COMET booster will work, because of a clearance problem with the shock tower. The booster mounts on an angle. You'll also need the steering column/brake pedal support bracket, brake pedal assembly, and driver's side shock tower brace. The much simpler solution is to install manual discs. Those you can get off a Granada/Monarch, and they install with A LOT less headaches.

: : I am restoring my 73 mav, i have drums on all corners, and manual brakes. i have been told that the power brake booster off a newer year mav would work with no prob, but i have gone down to the parts store and we have looked up a power brake booster for all of the years of the mav and their parts list came up with nothing avaiable...what is a more comon car that i can look for the correct booster under? does anyone know xactly where i can find the brake booster itself if i already have a new master cylinder? maybe someon possable has the exact part number i need for it from a common parts store....let me know please

: :look under the Granda/Monarch powerbrake units. Mav/Comet were the test platforms for these vehiles. You'll fine most 76-80 Granda parts will fit your Mav. Just check your steering, shifter and brace clearage.
: The granda also used the same rotors, calibers & master cyl. Some front end suspension parts are also the same.
