I finaly put some 4"s in my doors. I had 6 1/2s in my kick panels but they sounded like shit. Remeber a bad speaker in a good location sounds better then good speaker in a bad location. Anyway, mines a 73 I cut out for a DIN style CD receiver and it looks fine to me. I mounted my 4" amp where the origional dash speaker were (well under the dash centered by the hole) its a small amp but works good fo the 4"s. The rear 6x9s are mounted under a board with acoustic cloth over the top. It's hard to tell there's a stereo in here if you don't hear it. I also installed a pair of free air 10s behind the backseat, a box eats up a lot of room in the trunk. My other amp and crossover are mounted behind a board below the 6x9s in the trunk. If you do put speakers in the doors REMEMBER to measure with the windows down, it might save you some grief later. TTFN.
