I use the The semi-synthetic(half and half) and it seems to work. I noticed less sludge build up in the motors I used it in. It is by no means a mircle cure to an engine that is already worn out but I do believe it helps a good motor stay in that condition. Neever use it for the break in of a new or rebuilt motor though. It will not let the rings seat in etc..
