My shocks were original on my 1970 until my new rearend interfered and broke one (long story) Anyway they have a date code on them, not sure exactly how it was but I think it was MM-YY or MM-DD-YY. Those ford shocks sure do last, huh? -CP

: I slid under my mav a while back, and noticed that I could probably break my exhaust pipe by squeezing it, and Discovered that my shocks look just as bad. There AutoLites, and look like they could be that old. They seem to still work, but plan to replace them anyway, since I can afford it. Do you think it is posible that my shocks are original? Is there a Date on them anywhere? And where would I get the exhause tubing? Should I just take it to a muffler place, or pull it out and replace it myself?
