My son has a vision problem, he probably shouldn't even drive at night but try to tel that to a 22 year old. Anyway, he uses foglights in order to see the sides of his lane. Regluar headlights hit the ground too far out but he keeps his down so low that you'd have to be sitting on the ground for them to be in your eyes!
Ny wife had RK surgery on her eyes several years ago and one of the side effects for her was poor night vision. She too needs the foglights aimed low to drive safely at night.
